Written Reports
Testimonial from Johnny 32 who worked on OCD and perfectionism
"I noticed on Jack’s website that he offered ‘written reports. Whilst this was not something I had ever previously considered; I began to think that it could be a really useful tool. Conversations can fade and I thought having something tangible I could refer to at any time would complement my treatment.

Jack kindly offered to write me a letter and I could not have asked for more.

The letter encapsulated everything perfectly and was exactly what I hoped for and more. On reading the letter my wife said ‘that’s amazing’ which sums things up well.
Along with everything I have learnt through our sessions, I feel so much more confident knowing I have the letter in my arsenal which I can refer back to at any time".
One of the most powerful things a therapist ever did for me, was to write me a letter, which summarised their thoughts on the therapy we had completed.
I have since attended training and gradually developed my own report writing skills. It is a therapy tool I now feel very confident and passionate about using and I have seen my reports have a significant impact on the therapy process with many of my clients.

There can be something incredibly validating about seeing your story, or problems, communicated via words by someone else. It is also pragmatic, in the sense that a written report can bring everything together, condense things down, and help you to articulate your difficulties to others more effectively.

The other great thing is the words in a letter or report will last much longer than your memories of the conversations we had, so you can always use it to refer back to.
